Our Story
Our History
From the tiled entrance hall to the stone carvings, our famous red-bricked building is adorned with delightful elements of its previous owners. The building was first opened as an orphanage and girls’ school by the Free Masons in 1882. It became such a success and was seen as a great example of architecture that even Queen Victoria’s interest was piqued. The queen and her daughter Princess Beatrice came to visit the school in 1890.
Just like the Queen’s welcome, we will give you an experience fit for royalty.
